IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Verno House Budapest, a new member of its Vignette Collection. This boutique hotel is located in the heart of Budapest, offering guests an experience that blends luxury with local culture. Verno House Budapest marks the first Vignette Collection property in Hungary, showcasing IHG’s commitment to expanding its luxury and lifestyle portfolio.

Verno House is positioned between the Danube River and Liberty Square, offering an easy access to nearby attractions. The hotel itself has a rich history as a meeting place for notable figures from various fields since the late 19th century.

Verno House Budapest is part of the Vignette Collection, known for offering experiences through its Memorable Rituals. The hotel’s lobby features Verno’s Treat Bar, where guests can sample traditional Hungarian candies and chocolates. It offers 48 guest rooms, including Deluxe, Premium, and Suite options. The Corner Suites feature floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Budapest’s Art Nouveau architecture, while all rooms are equipped with BOTANIQ Collection amenities.

“We are excited to see Verno House open as IHG’s first Vignette Collection hotel in Budapest. The team have worked hard to ensure that the experience available to guests is true to our heritage, offering a haven of tranquillity to those who wish to explore what our capital has to offer. Now, part of Vignette Collection, Verno House is looking forward to inviting our first guests and offering meaningful and memorable stays in this one-of-a-kind hotel.” – Tamás Nehéz, General Manager at Verno House Budapest, Vignette Collection

Furthermore, the hotel’s dining experience is highlighted by Flava Kitchen & More, a Michelin Guide-recommended restaurant. Guests can enjoy a diverse menu featuring North African, Latin American, and Middle Eastern dishes, alongside traditional Hungarian favorites. Guests can dine indoors or on the terrace, with live DJ performances during the weekends. Moreover, the BOTANIQ Collection Wellness Department at Verno House Budapest offers a range of facilities for relaxation, including a Turkish steam bath, Finnish sauna, whirlpool bath, and fitness center. Guests can choose from various massage and facial treatments using natural products. Concerning the amenities, the hotel provides also spaces for community interaction, with areas featuring books and board games.

The hotel supports IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow initiative by partnering with Kék Madár Alapítvány (Blue Bird Foundation). This collaboration promotes workplace opportunities for people with disabilities through the sale of BeSweet chocolates, available in the mini-bar and made by workers with disabilities.

Verno House Budapest joins other Vignette Collection properties such as The Halyard Liverpool in the UK, Convent Square Lisbon, and Casa da Companhia in Porto. The collection continues to grow globally, with 18 hotels currently open and 20 more in development.
