Handwritten Collection, part of Accor’s portfolio, is expanding its presence in Europe with new openings in several countries. The brand, which was introduced in 2023, has quickly gained traction, with 17 hotels launched in key locations around the world.

The Handwritten Collection is set to add around 25 new properties to its portfolio, with more than 150 additional projects under discussion.

Upcoming additions in Europe include:

– Cyprus: The Classic Hotel Nicosia will open this month and it will be the first Handwritten Collection hotel in Cyprus. Located in Nicosia’s city center, it will offer 54 rooms, a top-floor spa, a versatile space and dining options including a gourmet restaurant.
– Albania: Adorn Tirana will open in Skanderbeg Square, the capital’s central area this autumn. This new hotel will feature 25 rooms, including six suites, a restaurant, and a piano bar.
– Germany: The MUZE Hotel Düsseldorf will debut in November. This hotel will feature 60 rooms, a boardroom, an art gallery, and a bar, and is located near Düsseldorf’s shopping and cultural landmarks.
– The Netherlands: Hotel Ter Zand, situated in Zeeland, is scheduled to open later this month and will offer 53 rooms and 32 garden suites. The hotel will be close to nature reserves and beaches, providing a tranquil getaway.
– France: Fort Saint-Laurent Hôtel & Spa in Lyon will open later this month and will offer 36 rooms and is set in a 16th-century building.
– Romania: Tecadra Bucharest Hotel, opening in 2025, will be the brand’s first property in Romania. The hotel will feature 100 rooms and use sustainable energy solutions.
– Belgium: La Maison Fraiture, opening in 2026, will be the first Handwritten Collection hotel in Belgium. It will offer 120 rooms, wellness facilities, and event spaces with views of the surrounding mountains.

Recent openings in Europe include Hotel Maison Hamelin in Paris, Hôtel Plaza Biarritz Plage on the Basque Country, and Hotel Castel Maintenon near Paris.
