Hotel Co 51 announced the return of Donovan Sumner as Regional Director of Operations for the UK. Donovan will oversee the company’s portfolio of 17 Marriott International-branded hotels, which includes 15 Moxy hotels.
With 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Donovan has a proven track record of managing Moxy properties across the UK, Italy, and Norway. He was instrumental in opening Moxy Aberdeen Airport in 2016, a key part of the Hotel Co 51 portfolio, where he served as general manager.

Donovan returns to Hotel Co 51 from Cycas Hospitality, where he served as Vice President of Operations for two years. He succeeds Wayne Androliakos, who was appointed CEO in June 2024.

In his new role, Donovan will manage an expanded portfolio and implement a new cluster general manager approach. This system involves five General Managers across England and Scotland reporting directly to him. The success of this approach has led Hotel Co 51 to adopt a similar system for its 13 properties in Germany, managed under Regional Director of Operations Morana Rabatic Andric.
