B&B HOTELS reaches a significant milestone in its expansion strategy into the United Kingdom and the United States just four months after its first takeovers in these markets.

French budget chain B&B HOTELS is accelerating its development with the ambition of becoming the leader in sustainable value-for-money hotels, with 3,000 hotels within 10 years, operating currently nearly 800 hotels across 17 countries.

In the United Kingdom, the group is enhancing its portfolio with 5 new hotels in Birmingham City Centre, Ipswich, Inverness, Warrington, and Derby following its first hotel at Heathrow in London. These properties are former Penta Hotels.

The Birmingham and Derby hotels are now trading as B&B HOTELS, while the Ipswich, Inverness and Warrington hotels will make the switch over the course of the next week. Over the coming months, the five properties will receive light refurbishments and remain open and operated by current staff.

The group first announced plans to expand into the United Kingdom in 2022, and is targeting 100 hotels by 2035, with the ambition “to become a key player in the British hospitality sector, specifically in the economy/budget hotel segment”.

Today’s announcement marks a significant milestone as we integrate into vibrant communities. We look forward to welcoming guests in these new locations as we expand into more towns, cities and tourism hotspots across the UK.

Across the pond, B&B HOTELS is opening its second property which is located in Jacksonville, Florida, following its successful debut in Orlondo.

We are excited to share the signing of our second US location in Jacksonville, a pivotal step in B&B HOTELS’ growth in Florida and the United States. Many thanks to our real estate partner, Batipart Europe, for their invaluable support.
