Gregor had tickets for Morricone concert as part of Festival Ljubljana and he couldn’t go. So he passed tickets to me and Simon (63€). With Uber I arrived few minutes before concert begun in Križanke. We were looking for our seats. Found them in last row in corner, good it was not still raining. Worst view but sound was OK. Lady next to me took of her shoes and socks during concert?
Music composed by late Ennio Morricone was conducted by his son Andrea. The concert featured well-known orchestras RTV Slovenija Simfoničnim orkester and L’ Orchestra Roma Sinfonietta. Also outstanding singers from 2 choirs (Mešani pevski zbor Glasbene matice Ljubljana, Ljubljanski madrigalisti in solisti) and solists where there, soprano Vittoriana de Amicis, harmonica Luigi Mattacchione and violin Vincenzo Bolognese.
The program of concert was divided into seven parts: Suite Untouchables, Dedicated to Giuseppe Tornatore, According to Pereira, Suite Leone, Scattered Leaves, Cinema 1 and Suite Mission. The concert lasted approximately 90 minutes. Andrea was quite energetic on stage. All of timeless music performed with more then 100 people on stage left good impression. Ecstasy of gold was probably most powerful and performed twice. Quick stop at Livingroom bar were Julie picked us up and drove home.
