Living Forest Oceanside Campground & RV Park In Nanaimo BC
A Beautifully Kept Park!
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful campground in Nanaimo, British Columbia Canada,
a couple of times now. It’s called …
Living Forest Oceanside Campground
I telephoned in the morning of our first stay from out of town while traveling, to see if they had a site available for the night. The attendant on the phone was very friendly and said that there was one dry site still available.
The campground is easy to find and centrally located to the {City of Nanaimo} on Vancouver Island, just 2.5 miles or 4 kilometers to downtown and the waterfront.
Be sure to check out the {Google Map} box at the bottom of this post for exact location.
First, have a closer look at this short video offering a glimpse of this picturesque City located on Vancouver Island.

After checking in, I could not help but notice how clean and well maintained this huge facility was.
As well and just after arriving to our assigned site, I had the feeling I was staying at one of BC’s Beautiful Provincial Parks.

As well, situated right on the cafe’s patio is free wi-fi internet service, along with electrical plug-ins for your laptop.
I was also struck by the amazing outhouse restroom situated close to our site. It was super clean, complete with flush toilet and sink with running water, and an electric hand dryer. Just another added bonus and great feature at this campground.

A Perfect Base Camp For Touring Vancouver Island
Sunset Photo Looking Toward the City of Nanaimo
The campground and the City of Nanaimo, are situated on the east side of Vancouver Island. A perfect centralized location for touring the entire Island.
The Capital City of Victoria, is located just 1 ½ hours drive, which is located on the most southern tip of Vancouver Island. There are numerous scenic towns and attractions along the way, situated in either direction from the City of Nanaimo.
As well, it’s easy access to world famous ‘Long Beach’ and the towns of Tofino and Ucluelet, BC. Both are located on the rugged west coast of the Island. From Nanaimo, you’re approximately 200 kilometers away, or about 2 ½ hour leisurely drive.
Of course, one cannot visit Nanaimo without a walk downtown on the cities beautiful waterfront walkway and park. Enjoy an oceanfront stroll, visit the many shops and restaurants, all making for a perfect afternoon!
Enjoy spectacular coastal scenery right from your campsite at Living Forest!
