Amanda Hyndman, who will continue in her role as Chief People & Culture Officer, has over 30 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry, including 18 years with Mandarin Oriental. She has held various senior management positions in the group’s hotels in the UK, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Washington DC, as well as Area Vice President roles overseeing properties in Europe and Asia. Her appointment as Chief Operating Officer follows her previous position as Group Director of Quality & Rooms, which she held since 2020.
Under the leadership of the Group’s Chief Executive, Laurent Kleitman, Mandarin Oriental has recently unveiled a global growth strategy focused on enhancing its luxury credentials, accelerating its expansion, and innovating brand-centric guest experiences by utilizing advanced technologies to improve operational efficiency.
Scott Woroch brings over 30 years of experience in the luxury hospitality sector. As the co-founder and managing director of Kadenwood Partners, he previously spent 15 years at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, holding various development positions in Asia, North America, and Europe. His appointment, alongside those of Cristina Diezhandino and Fabrice Megarbane, aims to enrich the diversity of expertise within Mandarin Oriental’s board of directors, which now comprises 50% Independent Non-Executive Directors.
