Sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are also essential to protect yourself from the strong equatorial sun. And of course, don’t leave behind your camera to capture the breathtaking views along the way.

Safety Tip: Before booking your tour to the sulfur mines, make sure the tour company provides half face air purifying respirators – not N95’s/dust masks. The sulfur is EXTREMELY potent, and you will not be able to breathe the closer to the mines you get. N95 respirators will do nothing to protect you.
