Sommet Education, which includes renowned institutions such as Les Roches and Glion Institute of Higher Education, continues its expansion in the hospitality sector by forming two important strategic partnerships. The first with the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, and the second with the Mandarin Oriental group.

These collaborations aim to promote professional development, leadership, and educational excellence in the hospitality industry while supporting inclusion and diversity.

A Partnership with HSMAI MEA to Promote Training and Leadership in Hospitality

On November 18, 2024, Sommet Education signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HSMAI MEA, aiming to promote professional development and intellectual leadership within the hospitality sector. This collaboration establishes a framework for joint projects, enhancing educational and professional growth opportunities in the industry.

The two organizations will work together to offer resources to hospitality professionals and students, including webinars, workshops, and seminars. Additionally, professors from Les Roches and Glion will participate in executive roundtables on topics such as innovation and strategic marketing in hospitality. Sommet Education will also contribute by writing research articles and white papers published on the HSMAI MEA website, thus reaching a large professional audience.

This partnership will also provide HSMAI MEA with access to Sommet Education’s expertise to strengthen its educational programs, while HSMAI members will benefit from opportunities to collaborate with Les Roches and Glion students through internships, research projects, and collaborative learning activities.

“At HSMAI MEA, we are committed to empowering our regional community and encouraging continuous innovation in our events and intellectual leadership, keeping our members at the forefront of change in the industry. This collaboration with Sommet Education connects our community to academic excellence, providing the knowledge, tools, and networks needed to thrive in such a dynamic industry.” – Mona Faraj, President of HSMAI MEA.

“Our partnership with HSMAI MEA aligns perfectly with our mission to promote excellence in hospitality through education. By connecting our students to such a vast professional network, we aim to create bridges between academia and the industry, thus training the next generation of hospitality leaders with real-world knowledge and opportunities.” – Adrian Artimov, Vice President of Admissions at Sommet Education.
