In a soft bed, I didn’t have a good sleep, Boško can snore as well. Around 7am we got up and walked 30 minutes to Fajara beach. There was no easy access to the beach, so we had to search for an open spot. There were big waves, mostly clean, we walked in shallow water and picked up some shells.
On return, we had breakfast (omelet, bread, coffee, cookies) before moving on.
We walked to Westfield Crossroad and sat in the wrong shared taxi, 25 dalasi(GMD)=0,3€. We walked some more with local ladies to the next station. We were in a slow shared taxi to Brikama 60 dalasi=0,8€. Another one to the border town Giboro, 50 dalasi=0,7 €. At border crossing, first checked by soldiers and then by police.
It was time for another shared taxi 40 dalasi=0,5€ to Selety. The last ride to Ziguinchor was 5k XOF=7,5€, waiting for a van to fill up with coke, 400 XOF=0,6€. The road was worse, many potholes, my back was killing me.

Finally, we were in Ziguinchor at Rond Poind Aline SITOE DIATTA. On arrival, we went to La Belle Fourchette – a burger shop, and waited until they opened, 5600 XOF=8.5€ (4 burgers). The beer was 800 XOF=1,2€ at the gas station. We stayed at Ker Adja, 35€, with a bathroom. It was full of mosquitos, so they gave us a foldable net and insecticide.
